Both corpuses emphasize control, discipline and repetition as means to complete predetermined trails as flawlessly as possible. This book proposes to show the ideological resonances between compulsory schooling and animal domestication. It does so by examining the formal similarities between the pedagogical material both fields systematically produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4c31c896ca27a3413d068c83dddf9e1c wp-block-paragraph\">The catalogue of images is preceded by a text compiling various lessons, poems and song lyrics. These were extracted from my own school notebooks (age 7-13).
